FAQ
Does ONHARU upload my local schedules?
No. Local schedules, settings and backups stay on your PC. Optional Google integration communicates with Google APIs; requested email backup sends one selected file to your verified connected Gmail address.
Can I use it without Google?
Yes. Local schedules, Todo, recurrence, D-Day, anniversaries, alarms, timetable, search, backup and themes work without a Google account.
Why does Google ask for Calendar and Tasks permissions?
Calendar event access is used to display and edit events, calendar-list read access is used to show the calendars you can choose, and Tasks access is used for the optional Google Tasks display and editing features. ONHARU requests these together during connection.
Why are some actions limited in Fixed mode?
Fixed mode places ONHARU under desktop icons. Windows input layering limits hover, wheel, drag, resizing and some popup interactions there. Use Move mode when editing the layout or performing drag operations.
Where is my data?
Under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Onharu. Use the built-in backup and export tools instead of manually editing those files.
Why does Windows say “Unknown publisher”?
The current installer does not yet have paid code signing. Download only from onharu.app or the official release repository and compare its SHA-256.
Are Google features paid?
No. Google Calendar, Google Tasks and KBO features are not tied to a purchase. A future one-time ad-removal entitlement is planned for removing ONHARU notices and enabling closing the detail calendar and desktop Fixed mode.
Does ONHARU use targeted advertising?
No. It uses no third-party advertising SDK, behavioral targeting or Google schedule data for ads. The app may fetch ONHARU-authored notice text from onharu.app.
How do I report a problem?
See Support. Include the app version, Windows version, display scaling and exact reproduction steps, but never send passwords, tokens or API keys.
